     "The car stood abandoned, the door open as you see it.  Tumbled buildings stood beyond, smashed by the flood.  I rearranged them relatively little.  Hand prints were on the door, but not as quickly recognizable as in the painting, clearly someone had shoved the door. 

     I used an acrylic impasto technique to try and capture the muck and mire from which this car had emerged, and hopefully its passengers."          Rolland Golden
