"Flooding of the school buses was a huge problem for New Orleans, I wanted to find a school bus.  During my first trip into the lower 9,  I discovered one sitting in an empty lot behind some damaged buildings.

     Its setting wasn’t right to convey my thoughts, so I moved it to a street in the Treme district along with the upside down sign.  I flooded the street, added the floating numbers and letters, as well as other things: then I felt it expressed what I wanted."             Rolland Golden
