Idle Freight
"Throughout my career as an artist, weeds have been a source of inspiration. Their grace and linear quality have afforded many an opportunity for composition and super-imposition. Side tracks of box cars, parked along railroad lines, spark memories of my childhood when I lived in Grenada, MS. My dad would take me to the train station and we would watch the "Panama Limited" flash through - in about 25 seconds. I found these box cars in central Louisiana, an endless line stretching into the distance. Kneeling behind the weeds and looking through, I had an ideal setting, combining two things I like."
