“The figures in this painting were taken from twp snippets of television from two different locations.  The two women are relieved to tears to find each other while the man with the baby is tired and reserved.

      These people did not find each other atop an elevated expressway, but the images of those who suffered on that concrete haven were burned into my memory, I needed to say something about this pathos.  How ironic to feel the flush of excitement and happiness upon seeing a lost loved one, and then returning to reality.  At least now they can endure together."             By Rolland Golden
